Gabe is 4 months!!!

Gabe is getting to be sooooo much fun, I tell you what! He loves to laugh and giggle especially when you tickle him. He is incredibly ticklish especially on his feet. He smiles whenever I look at him so of course I want to take his picture, but it tends to be difficult because he gets startled by my flash. I've tried to turn it off, but then the picture isn't very good. Here is the best I could do to keep his smiles there!

The girls love to hold Gabriel and in these pictures, Aiselyn insisted that it was her special baby's birthday as well, so these two pictures are of Aiselyn, Abby, and the birthday kids--special baby and Gabe!

Here is another attempt to keep Gabe's smile long enough to catch. I lubba lubba lubb this baby boy (FYI: lubba lubba lubb means basically love love love). Happy Birthday Gabe even though it was a week ago!

More Halloween Fun

So in an earlier post, I mentioned that I had more Halloween pictures that needed to get from my friend. Well, I got them! They are so cute. Here is Aiselyn still as Dorothy from Wizard of Oz and Abby as a frog with some silly smirk on her face. I love these silly girls!

Here is Tommy and Gabe as Mini-Me. I finally found something for Tommy to "dress-up" as for Halloween. He is really a Scrouge for holidays but I'm trying to work on him.
Here is a better close-up to see Gabe's beard. They really do look alike don't they? I love these two men in my life!

Gabe's three month birthday

Gabe saying, "hey, did you just take my picture. You sly thing, you!" these are taken on this three month birthday which was a few weeks ago. He turns 4 months in a week and a half, so I will put new pictures up soon from that. Isn't he cute?
Aiselyn holding Gabe and enjoying each other. Aiselyn is now 5 and thinks she is practically a grown up kid. She always wants to move gabe around and wants to walk around with him but at least I have kept that part at bay. I am not ready for her to do that yet, plus he is only getting bigger and heavier, but of course, cuter too! Talk about a miniature Tommy. In fact, for halloween we drew a red beard on Gabe and matched his clothes to Tommy's and made him Mini-Me. I really hope we can get those pictures from our friend soon.
This is a little snippet video of Gabe's cousin Katie singing a song to him. Gabe loooooves attention!!!

Is this house shifting?

This is a sculpture in D.C. It was so cool. check it out and try and figure out what is happening.

I know it is really shaky from the walking, but isn't it cool how it looks like the house moves, yet is doesn't all because of the way it was designed. Is it deception or plain cleverness?

to be or not to be! hmmmmm, that IS the question!

Washington D.C.

Here is the only Halloween picture I have so far. We all dressed up for our fall festival halloween party for our branch only I forgot our camera and have still yet to get them from our friends. But, here is Aiselyn at least in her Dorothy outfit. Abby was too tired from trekking D.C. all day and didn't feel like going to the halloween party at the nature center in MD.

Here is a picture Tommy took of the Korean War Memorial. This means a lot to Tommy especially because his grandfather (Grandpa Pinkard) fought in this war. Isn't a really pretty picture?

the Krebs family with my best friends the allen family who came down from NY to sight see D.C. with us. There is Jeffrey, Elliot, MaryIrene, Sam, Tommy, Abby, Gabe (in the carseat), me, and Aiselyn. Those kids did such a great job with all that walking. I know that my girls have never done anything like this before so I am extremely proud of them.

Here we all are during our sight seeing hours. Gabe did amazingly well being bundled all day in his little wrap strapped to his dear old mom for two days!

Oh, the life of city squirels. I guess I can't deny the craving for Dorito chips!

Aiselyn and Abby in front of the Lincoln Memorial. They sure look small compared to that big man.

and we're not too much bigger!

Tommy took this picture early one morning. He and Jeffrey woke up early and caught the sunrise on the buildings. This one is of the Washington Memorial for those who might not know what this is. I think he did a bang up job...don't you?

The thinking bunny? Pretty interesting sculpture. I think it looks pretty cool with the sun hidden behind it and the bright blue sky.

we had so much fun that weekend spending time with the Allens and of course Tommy's family too. It was the best vacation we've had in a really long time. I love seeing old friends especially when it has been like 4 years since we have last seen each other yet there was absolutely no awkwardness at all. What I mean is that it didn't seem like even a day had passed since we were last together. I love you guys!

Amicolola Falls and Apple Pickin' Fun

We took a two hour trip up to Ellijay last month to pick apples and also swung into see these falls that were close by. It was beautiful. It also had a scenic trail that wrapped all around and stuff but we only walked a little bit of it for there were A LOT of stairs. I didn't think the girls would have made it especially without a stroller.

Here the girls are standing by a little bridge crossing over a little stream.

Here Aiselyn and Abby are leaning over the lookout at top falls. I don't think I could have done that. Heights don't agree with me that much. I get really dizzy or leg wobbley or something. Needless to say, I didn't look over that far especially carrying Gabe!

The lookout from top falls. It was just beautiful. The only thing that could have made it better would be if we waited a few more weeks till the trees had ALL turned. That would be a sight.

Here's the family at the apple orchard in Ellijay, GA. We brought home 2 bushelful of apples to make a whole bunch of applesauce. My oh, my is that some good stuff we made up!

Tommy picking apples. Isn't he cute!

Aiselyn picking her share of apples and having a grand ole time.

Abby having too much fun picking apples. She got so excited, she often wouldn't wait for us to tell her which ones were the right ones to pick. The birds got a few apples for dinner--a nonintentional gift from Abby.

We had so much fun on that long drive and at the orchard. Inside we bought cider slushies, pear slushies, hot apple fried pies, and cider doughnuts. It was soooooo good. Their cider wasn't the best I had because it really only tasted like apple juice instead of tangy cider, but all-in-all it was a lot of fun!

more aiselyn party pictures

Aiselyn with her book called Pinkalicious from Granny. It is quite a cute book.

Here Aiselyn got a Barbie Mariposa doll or something or other. She and Abby love playing with it and the wings are already kind of broken or at least won't stay on for very long.

There are several more pictures I have with Aiselyn holding up more presents mainly clothes which I will spare you all that. I love my kids, they can be quite silly!

catch up

So my sister, Kristi, has helped me set this here blog business up. I am excited! First off I want to probably put up some pictures of Aiselyn's 5th birthday that was October 20th. She had a lot of fun posing for each and every gift but I won't post all of them for they were a quite a few.

Here is the cake I made for Aiselyn. She wanted a puppy cake so this is what she got. I tried to make the dog two toned, but I messed up on the frosting. One of these days I will post a bunch of the cakes I have decorated. My friend MaryIrene has suggested that so I suppose I can appease her! I love you MI! Here are some more pictures of Aiselyn and the party.

so my set up is being weird so I am going to post another blog with more of her pictures!
